Terms of Service

Last updated: June 28, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Al-Hayaat School website at alhayaat.ca and related online services. By using our website, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

1. About Al-Hayaat School

Al-Hayaat School ("we," "us," or "our") operates this website from 1095 Bleams Road, Mannheim (Petersburg), ON N0B 2H0, Canada.

Questions about these Terms may be sent to admin@alhayaat.ca or 519-589-9669.

2. Agreement to Terms

By visiting the website, submitting a form, making a donation, or otherwise using our online services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

If you are submitting information on behalf of a student or another person, you represent that you have the authority to do so.

3. Scope of These Terms

These Terms apply to use of our public website and online tools, including:

  • General information about our school, programs, and fees
  • Contact and newsletter forms
  • Online enrollment or admissions applications
  • Career applications
  • Online donations processed through Stripe
  • Authorized staff access to internal administration tools

These Terms do not replace separate enrollment, financial, parental, or liability agreements that may be required for student registration. Those documents form additional binding agreements between families and the school.

4. Permitted Use

You may use this website for lawful, personal, and school-related purposes, such as learning about our programs, contacting us, applying for admission or employment, or making a donation.

You agree to provide accurate and complete information when using our forms and to keep your contact details current where relevant.

5. Prohibited Use

You may not use the website to:

  • Violate any applicable law or regulation
  • Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information
  • Harass, threaten, or abuse school staff or other users
  • Upload malware, spam, or harmful code
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems, accounts, or data
  • Scrape, copy, or republish site content for commercial use without permission
  • Interfere with the normal operation or security of the website

6. Form Submissions and User Content

When you submit information through our website, you are responsible for the accuracy of that information. We may reject, ignore, or remove submissions that are incomplete, abusive, fraudulent, or unrelated to school business.

Career application materials, such as resumes and cover letters, must be your own work or submitted with proper authorization. By submitting them, you grant us permission to review and store them for hiring purposes.

7. Admissions and Enrollment

An online admissions or enrollment application is an inquiry or application step only. Submission does not guarantee admission, placement, or enrollment.

Final enrollment may require additional steps, including student assessment, payment of applicable fees, and execution of separate registration documents such as the registration form, Pre-Authorized Debit (PAD) agreement, financial agreement, parental agreement, and liability waiver.

Program details, fees, availability, and admissions criteria published on the website may change. The school will communicate material enrollment requirements directly with families.

8. Donations

Donations made through the website are voluntary. Payment processing is handled by Stripe, and you agree to Stripe's applicable terms and privacy practices when completing a transaction.

Donation receipts and tax documentation are issued based on information you provide and in accordance with applicable charitable receipt rules. Unless required by law or stated in a separate school policy, donations are generally non-refundable once processed.

9. Career Applications

Submitting a job application does not create an employment relationship or guarantee an interview or offer. We may retain application materials for a reasonable period for recruitment and record-keeping purposes.

We are not responsible for technical failures that prevent receipt of an application, although we work to maintain reliable systems.

10. Staff and Admin Access

Access to the internal admin area is limited to authorized school personnel. Admin credentials must not be shared. We may suspend or revoke access at any time for security, maintenance, or policy reasons.

11. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise noted, the website and its content—including text, logos, graphics, photographs, and design—are owned by Al-Hayaat School or used with permission.

You may view and print pages for personal, non-commercial use. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or exploit website content without our prior written consent.

12. Third-Party Services and Links

Our website may link to or integrate with third-party services, including Stripe, social media platforms, and cloud hosting providers. Those services are governed by their own terms and policies.

We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of third-party websites or services linked from our site.

13. Disclaimers

Website content is provided for general informational purposes. While we aim to keep information accurate and up to date, we do not warrant that all content is complete, current, or error-free.

Information on this website does not constitute legal, medical, financial, or professional advice. Official school policies, contracts, and enrollment decisions may differ from general website descriptions.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Al-Hayaat School will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the website or online services.

Our total liability for any claim relating to the website will not exceed the amount you paid to us through the website in the twelve months before the claim arose, or one hundred Canadian dollars (CAD $100), whichever is greater, except where liability cannot be limited by law.

15. Privacy

Our collection and use of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy. By using the website, you also agree to that policy.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the website after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

17. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the applicable laws of Canada, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

If a dispute arises, the parties will first attempt to resolve it informally by contacting the school. If informal resolution is not successful, disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Ontario, Canada, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
